LISLE, Ill.—The Wartburg volleyball team opened the season with a 3-1 win over Concordia Texas at Benedictine's Invite Friday night. The Tornados won the first set 28-26, but the Knights claimed the next three 25-20, 25-23, 25-13.

Key performers:

• Emerson Kracht: 12 kills, 23 assists, 14 digs, 2 service aces
• Anna Sash: 11 kills, .833 hitting percentage
• Kaylee Anderson & Kaylee Koudelka: 10 kills
• Sophie Sedgwick: 20 assists
• Peyton Robinson: 18 digs, 2 service aces

Notes:

• Collegiate debut for Koudelka and Sash
• Robinson tied her career-high with seven assists
• First triple double of the season for Kracht
• Wartburg owned the team advantage in all but one category, as Concordia held the lead in service aces 10-7
• This marked the first ever meeting between the programs
