WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 13/15 Wartburg football team (1-1 overall) travels to face Central (2-0) Saturday at 1 p.m. to open American Rivers Conference play. This will be the fourth time in five seasons the Knights have had to make the trip to Pella.

The Series
Central owns the all-time series lead at 45-27, but the Knights have claimed the last two-straight. 

Wartburg
Quarterback Carter Markham has thrown for 608 yards and four touchdowns. Dawson Rud leads the team on the ground with 51 yards.

Carter Henry has 14 receptions for 217 yards and one TD. Drake George joins him in triple digits with 166 yards on 12 catches and one score.

Keenan Tyler leads the defense with 19 total tackles. Nate Link, Conner McDonald and Christian Nunley all have 1.5 TFLs. Link, McDonald, and Tyler all have 1 sacks.

Cael O'Neill is 6-7 in PATs and has one field goal.

Career Record Watch
George is second in pass receptions (179), sixth in pass reception yards (2,146), and tied for sixth in pass reception TDs (18).

O'Neill is tied for third in field goals (22) and fourth in PATs (131). Ben Bryant is first in punt return yards (878) and fourth in punt returns (67). 

Parker Rochford is tied for first in interception return TDs (4), tied for fifth in interceptions (15), and tied for seventh in pass breakups (26).

Nate Link is tied for seventh in fumble returns (2) and Justin Grieff is seventh in quarterback hurries (8). 

Central
Jase Grunder and Keegan Glover have rushed for 85 and 81 yards, respectively. Grunder has three TDs. Quarterback Brady Ketchum has thrown for 599 yards and eight scores.

His top target has been Ryan Neu with 11 catches for 183 yards and two scores. Glover follows with 175 yards on nine catches and three TDs.

Cael Fiderlein leads the defense with 18 total tackles.
