WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 9/11 Wartburg women's basketball moved to 7-0 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play and 14-2 overall after an 87-53 rout of Buena Vista University at home on Saturday, Jan. 18.

- Jaedon Murphy and Lauren Woeste got the scoring started after each scoring in the paint to put Wartburg ahead 4-3 early
- Buena Vista put together a 7-0 run to take a 10-3 lead before Murphy found Sara Faber for three
- Wartburg answered with a 16-0 run led by six points from both Murphy and Faber
- Wartburg went 5/8 from the field and 3/4 from three-point range during the run to give Wartburg a 23-16 lead after the first quarter

- Each team scored twice in the paint in the first three minutes of the second quarter as Wartburg led 27-20

- Woeste scored five of Wartburg's first seven points of the second half to take a 55-38 lead after two and a half minutes of play
- Golinghorst and Murphy combined for Wartburg's next 11 points as the Knights' lead grew to 19 points
- Another Young three pointer as well as scores from Murphy and Faber put Wartburg ahead 72-46 after three quarters
- Fourth Quarter
- The Knights jumped out to an 8-0 run to begin the final quarter as Young made her third three of the game followed by baskets from Woeste and Golinghorst in the paint
- With 3:31 remaining, Natalie Bearbower connected on a three pointer with an assist from Brooke Meeks to push the Wartburg lead to 83-49
- Both Meeks and Ava Trettin scored in the final minutes of the game to cap off a 87-53 home win
