CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Men's basketball fell to Coe 79-69 on the road in a hard-fought American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) matchup on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The Knights are now 10-7 overall and 3-5 in A-R-C play, while Coe is now 10-7 overall and 4-4 in A-R-C play.

- First Half
- Luke Ladwig scored the first four points for the Knights after two driving layups to give Wartburg a 4-3 lead early
- Marshun Williams scored the next four points for Wartburg, but a Coe three pointer put the Kohawks in front 10-8 with 15:43 left in the first half
- An Austin Bienemann driving score tied the game up before Williams scored five more points to give Wartburg a 15-13 lead
- Coe answered with an 8-0 run to take a 21-15 lead before Williams connected on a three pointer and then found an open Richie Rosenblum for a fastbreak layup to cut the lead to one

- Minutes later, Ladwig found Bienemann for an alley-oop slam that tied the game at 47-47
- Over the next three minutes of play, Coe went on a 10-0 run to take a 57-47 lead with 10:24 remaining
- Wartburg outscored Coe 14-10 over the next six minutes to make the score 67-61, Coe, with 3:30 left to play
- Williams, Rosenblum, Trujillo, Besh and Bienemann all scored for the Knights during the run
- A Williams three pointer made it a five-point game with just under three minutes to play, but Coe was able to regain a nine-point lead with 1:43 left in the game
- Trujillo scored five points in the final minutes, but Coe held on for a 79-69 win over the Knights
