Women's Soccer Defeat Central 2-1 on the Road

PELLA, Iowa – Women's soccer went on the road and defeated Central College 2-1 on Saturday, Oct. 11 to improve to 2-1 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play.
 
Wartburg is now 6-7 overall and 2-1 in A-R-C play, while Central is now 6-4-1 overall and 1-3 in A-R-C play.

  • First Half
    • Tulla Jensen made an early save for the Knights in the 10th minute to keep Central from an early score
    • Following a corner kick, Ellianna Trilling recorded a shot that missed the target high but one minute later in the 34th minute, Sami Webster beat the defense for the first goal of the match
    • The Knights defended two late corner kick opportunities from the Dutch and took a 1-0 lead into halftime
  • Second Half
