DECORAH, Iowa – Women's soccer closed the regular season with a 2-1 win on the road over Luther College in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The Knights were led by goals from both
Maya Anderson and
Claudia Sewell, which were both assisted by
Sami Webster.

- First Half
- The Knights started the match with a shot in the first minute from Sewell that just missed the top-right corner of the goal and then Tulla Jensen made a save for the Knights on the other end in the 5th minute
- After two unsuccessful corner kicks from Luther in the 16th minute, Athena Sheets fired a shot on goal that was saved in the 17th minute
- Jensen made another save in the 21st minute and then minutes later Allison Smith record a shot on goal that was saved by the Norse
- Wartburg broke the tie in the 33rd minute when Webster dished out an assist on a goal scored by Anderson to give the Knights a 1-0 lead
- Jensen tallied one more save before halftime and the Knights led 1-0 at the break
- Second Half
- Smith, Webster and Paige Lienhard all had shots that were off target in the first 12 minutes of the second half
- The Knights added a second goal in the 61st minute when Sewell beat the keeper with an assist from Webster to push the lead to 2-0
- Greta Rothe fired a shot on goal two minutes after the goal that was saved by Luther to keep the score at 2-0
- Ellianna Trilling had a shot on goal saved in the 74th minute and then in the 80th minute, Jensen made three saves to keep Luther off the scoreboard
- Luther cut the lead in half in the 86th minute to make the score 2-1
- Wartburg held off the Norse in the final minutes to take a 2-1 win on the road
