WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's soccer continued American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play on Wednesday, Oct. 8 with a 2-0 loss to the University of Dubuque at home. The Knights are now 5-7 overall and 1-1 in A-R-C play, while UD is now 5-1-5 overall and 3-0 in A-R-C play.

- First Half
- The Spartans came out of the gates firing offensively as they recorded four shots on goal in the first four minutes, which were all saved by Tulla Jensen
- UD broke the 0-0 tie in the eighth minute when Kaelyn Nash recovered a deflection and scored after a shot on goal from Virginia Speltz was saved by Jensen
- Wartburg tried to respond in the 12th minute when Nikayla Youngblut fired a shot on goal that was saved
- Jensen made two more saves over the next 10 minutes to keep the score at 1-0
- After another two saves from Jensen, Sami Webster recorded a shot on goal in the 40th minute that was saved by UD to make the score 1-0 at halftime

- Claudia Sewell got the half started with a shot on goal in the 46th minute that was saved by UD
- The Spartans added another goal in the 52nd minute when Speltz found Olivia Roth for a score to push the lead to 2-0
- Maya Anderson was able to put a shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the Spartans were able to keep the Knights off the board with another save
- Both Webster and Youngblut each had one more shot on goal saved as UD continued to keep Wartburg off the scoreboard
- Wartburg was unable to cut into the deficit in the final minutes as UD held off the Knights for a 2-0 win
