WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 2 men's cross country and No. 20 women's cross country are set to host the NCAA Midwest Regional meet at Max Cross Championship Course on Saturday, Nov. 15.
 
The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's race to follow at 12 p.m.
 
Wartburg's Regional History

• Both the men's and women's team each return three All-Region honorees from a season ago
  • Men's: Isaiah Hammerand, Lance Sobaski and Eli Larson
  • Women's: Haley Meyer, Lydia Maas and Karle Kramer
• The women have won 15 team titles and the men have won five regional titles
• The men's team won last season's regional with a team score of 44 points
• Isaiah Hammerand is the defending individual champion on the men's side
  • Looks to become the second athlete in program history to be a multi-time Regional MVP/champion
• The women's team last won the team title in 2023 with a score of 37 points
• Head coach Ryan Chapman is a six-time regional coach of the year
  • Four times on the men's side and twice on the women's side

General Information:
Wartburg Campus is located at 100 Wartburg Blvd in Waverly Iowa. The Wartburg-Waverly Wellness Center (The W) is located at 400 12th St NW in Waverly, Iowa.


The Max Championship Cross Country Course is located on the NW corner of campus. The course hosted the 2010 NCAA III National Championships as well as several NCAA III Region Championships.

Spectator Information: 
There are NO entry or parking fees for the meet.
No DOGS or other PETS are allowed at the meet, including anywhere on the cross country course or inside the Rec Center. Leave all pets at home or in your vehicle.
(Exceptions will be made only for trained service animal required for assisting individuals with disabilities.)
