WAUKESHA, Wis. – Women's basketball continued a tough stretch of nonconference games today with a 67-61 loss on the road to Carroll University. The Knights were led by a career-high 20 points from
Grace Hennessy and 18 points from
Katie Boulanger.

- First Quarter
- The Knights jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first three minutes of play
- Maddie Pavelka scored the first two points before Hennessy scored the next five points and then Ava Trettin capped off the run with two free throws
- Carroll stormed back over the next two minutes to take a 10-9 lead
- A three pointer from Lauren Donlea and a layup from Boulanger put the Knights back in front 14-10 with 3:43 left in the first quarter
- Wartburg led 14-12 after one quarter
- Second Quarter
- Carroll scored the first four points of the second quarter to take a 16-14 lead after two minutes
- Over the next three minutes, Wartburg outscored the Pioneers 6-1 to retake the lead 20-17
- Golinghorst and Henessy both scored in the final minute and a half, but Carroll was able to tie it up after each score to make the halftime score 24-24

- Third Quarter
- Boulanger scored the first five Wartburg points of the half with a layup and a three pointer (both assisted by Donlea) followed by a score in the paint from Golinghorst
- Wartburg led 31-26 after two minutes of play into the third period
- Carroll once again went on a run to retake the lead 33-31, but Hennessy put Wartburg back in front 34-33 with 6:22 left in the third
- A three-point play from Hennessy and a three pointer from Boulanger gave Wartburg a 41-39 lead
- Carroll closed the third on a 11-3 run to take a 50-44 lead headed to the fourth quarter
- Boulanger connected on her third three of the game during the run
- Fourth Quarter
- The Pioneers jumped out on a 5-0 run to start the fourth quarter before Hennessy made a jumper to cut the lead to 55-46 with 6:41 left to play
- Townsley and Hennessy each scored to cut the lead to five points with six minutes to go
- Katelyn Aden scored two points at the free throw line to make the score 59-53 with 3:44 left to play, Carroll still out in front
- Aden, Golinghorst, Hennessy and Boulanger each scored two points in the final minutes, but Carroll held off the Knights for a 67-61 win
