Hennessy Swats Career-High Five in Knights 53-40 Win Over Falcons

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg women's basketball team (6-6, 2-1 A-R-C) concluded the Wartburg Holiday Tournament today with a 53-40 home victory against Concordia-Wisconsin (2-9).

    • Second Quarter
      • Emma Townley found Katie Boulanger for her second three pointer of the game to give the Knights a 19-9 lead.
      • Following a 9-0 scoring run by the Falcons, Maddie Pavelka made a layup to give the Knights a three point lead.
      • The Knights extended the lead to nine points on free throws by Grace Hennessy and a basket by Corrie Harrison.
      • The Knights finished the quarter with a 29-20 lead. Katie Boulanger led all scorers with eight points. Corrie Harrison gave the Knights a boost with seven points and seven rebounds.

      • Grace Hennessy made the first basket of the second half to give the Knights a double-digit lead.
      • Corrie Harrison scored five consecutive points for the Knights to bring the lead to 36-27.
      • The Knights got the lead back to double-digits on a fast-break three point play by Katelyn Aden assisted by Laynee Hogan.
      • Lauren Donlea connected on a three-pointer to give the Knights a 44-31 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Corrie Harrison led the Knights attack with 14 points and eight rebounds.
