CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Women's basketball continued American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play on Saturday, Dec. 6. and fell to (RV) Coe College 65-51 on the road. This is Wartburg's first loss in A-R-C play since Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 (37-straight games).
The Knights are now 1-1 in A-R-C play and 2-5 overall, while Coe moves to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in A-R-C play.

- First Quarter
- Wartburg opened the scoring in today's contest with a three pointer from Lauren Golinghorst with an assist from Lauren Donlea and a jumper from Grace Hennessy to take a 5-0 lead after two minutes
- Coe made two three pointers over the next two minutes to take a 6-5 lead
- The Kohawks connected on another three pointer, but Golinghorst cut into the lead with two free throws to make the score 9-8 with 3:39 left in the first
- Coe closed the quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 16-8 lead after one quarter
- Second Quarter
- An early three-point play from Katie Boulanger cut Wartburg's deficit to six and then minutes later a three pointer from Carly Rich made the score 19-14 with 6:38 left in the half
- Both Finley Fitzgerald and Boulanger scored at the free throw line to cut the Coe lead to four before Golinghorst made it a one-point game with a three-point play
- With just over three minutes left in the first half, Reagan Pagniano took a steal coast to coast to tie the game at 23-23
- Coe closed the half outscoring Wartburg 6-2 to take a 29-25 lead into the halftime break

- Third Quarter
- A Boulanger layup and a three pointer from Golinghorst brought the Knights back within one point 31-30
- Hennessy was able to get to the hoop for a score, but Coe regained a small 38-32 lead with 5:23 left in the third quarter
- After a couple minute scoring drought, Coe opened the lead up to eight points but Wartburg responded with a 7-2 run to end the third after five points from Boulanger and another basket from Hennessy
- Coe led 42-39 headed to the fourth quarter
- Fourth Quarter
- Neither defense allowed a fourth-quarter point until after almost three minutes of play to begin the quarter until Coe converted a layup plus the foul to stretch the lead to 45-36
- Boulanger scored Wartburg's first fourth quarter points at the free throw line to make the score 48-41 with 4:33 left to play
- Coe went on a 7-0 run over the next minute and a half to extend its lead to 55-41
- Donlea, Golinghorst, Katelyn Aden and Emma Townsley all scored for the Knights in the final minutes, but Coe held off Wartburg for a 65-51 win
