WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's basketball earned its second-straight American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) win with an 85-63 win over Simpson College on Saturday, Feb. 1. The Knights are now 12-8 overall and 5-6 in A-R-C play, while Simpson moves to 4-16 overall and 1-10 in A-R-C play.

- Wartburg jumped out to a 9-6 lead after Gabe Trujillo and Richie Rosenblum each hit a three pointer in the first four minutes of play

- Following two minutes of scoreless play, Simpson cut into the lead with a 7-0 run that made the score 63-54 with 7:01 remaining
- Williams scored five of the next nine Wartburg points to push Wartburg's lead back over 10 points (72-60) with 4:14 left in the game
