ROCKFORD, Ill. – Women's bowling finished off the 2024-25 season with another highlight as
Lauren Funk was named Wartburg's first ever bowling All-American and the Knights took fourth overall at the Collegiate Club National Championships.
Wartburg went 4-1 in bracket play to earn a bye headed into bracket play. The Knights fell to San Jose State University in their first bracket matchup, but started the final day of the event with three wins before falling to Michigan State University to take fourth overall.
Both
Beth Johll and Funk were named All-American finalists with Funk earning Second Team All-American honors
. These are the top bowlers across all club teams in the nation based off several different statistics. Coaches then voted for first and second team All-Americans based off the individual's statistics.

"Our women earned a bye going into bracket play," said Head Coach
Alexis Neuer Runk. "Unfortunately, we lost the first match of the bracket to a red hot San Jose State. The Knights bowled incredible on Sunday winning their first three matches of the day before ultimately falling to Michigan State finishing 4
th for the event."
