Softball travels to face Vikings, host Prairie Wolves

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg softball team (19-13 overall, 8-4 American Rivers Conference) travels to face nonconference opponent, Augustana (Ill). (22-6) Thursday at 5 p.m. and will host Nebraska Wesleyan (25-8, 7-3) Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg owns the series lead against Augustana at 8-5, which includes the last four-straight games. The Knights also own the series lead at 13-5 over the Prairie Wolves, which includes the last two-straight.

Wartburg
Sydney Fellows leads the team with her .441 average, 45 hits, 22 RBIs, seven home runs and 33 runs. Four players join her above .300 as Carley Bredar is at .350, Addy Wells at .329, Riley Feeley at .317, and Bella Mulder at .315.

Fellows and Mulder lead the team with seven doubles and Wells follows with five. 

Reagan Hassel leads the team with 17 stolen bases.

Hannah Luellen has a 3.07 ERA with 10 wins, and 32 Ks in 107.1 innings pitched.

The Vikings enter the week on a four-game winning streak.

Three hitters average above 400 as Alaina Dias is hitting .442, Alexis Duke is at .413, and McKensey Stontz is at .404. Lauren Koster has a team-best 13 wins and 53 Ks in 100 innings pitched.

NWU
The Prairie Wolves enter the weekend on a five-game winning streak.

Lyndsey Roth leads her team with her .484 average. Elise Warneke has a team-best 105 Ks in 136.2 innings of work.
