WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg softball team (24-15 overall) received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Knights will face No. 10 WashU (32-5) Thursday, May 15. Game times are to be announced.
The NCAA Regionals will take place Thursday, May 15-Saturday, May 17. The other two teams in the regional are Redlands and Lake Forest.

The Series
This marks the first meeting in the NCAA Tournament against WashU since 2009. The teams also faced each other in the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Regionals. WashU is 2-1 against Wartburg in the NCAA Tournament.
The Bears own the series lead at 14-9, and split the regular season twinbill last season at the WashU Invite. The teams were scheduled to play this year, but that tournament was canceled due to cold weather.

Reagan Hassel leads the team with 18 stolen bases.
Hannah Luellen has a 3.08 ERA with 13 wins, and 36 Ks in 131.2 innings pitched.
