DUBUQUE, Iowa – Men's basketball's (10-4, 2-3 A-R-C) comeback on the road against the University of Dubuque (9-4, 2-2 A-R-C) fell short on Wednesday, Jan. 7 as the Spartans held off the Knights' late push 75-63.
Ethan Yungtum matched his career high in rebounding with 17 in route to his 12
th double double of the season.

- The Knights took an early 6-2 lead after scores from Gabe Trujillo, Cael Schramm and Luke Ladwig
- UD tied the game up at 8-8 with a three pointer after five minutes of play
- Following scores from Mason Matson and Autin Bienemann, both Ladwig and Matson drilled three pointers to give Wartburg a 17-10 with 11:46 left in the half
- Trujillo made a layup to push the lead to nine, but the Spartans scored eight-straight points to make the score 19-18
- Wartburg built its lead back up to 27-19 after scores from Schramm, Drake Wemark, Trujiilo and Ladwig with 6:31 left in the half
- Wartburg took a 35-30 lead into halftime after UD outscored the Knights 11-8 in the final minutes of the half

- Ethan Yungtum got the second half scoring for Wartburg with a three pointer to put Wartburg ahead by six after three minutes of play
- Back-to-back scores from Bienemann kept Wartburg in front by three points with just under 14 minutes left in the half
- UD scored seven-straight points to take a 46-42 lead, but Wartburg answered with scores from Ladwig and Schramm to take a 47-46 lead
- The Spartans retook the lead 57-51 after a 9-4 run with just over eight minutes left to play
- UD built the lead to 11 points with five minutes left to play
- Yungtum, Lyle Olsen and Ladwig all scored to bring the Knights within six points with 3:53 to go, but UD was able to hold off the Knights in the final minutes for a 75-63 win
