WAVERLY, Iowa - D3hoops.com released its annual All-Region teams and Regional Awards on Monday, Mar. 16 with Wartburg's
Katie Boulanger earning both Rookie of the Year and All-Region honors in region nine.
Boulanger earned the first D3hoops.com Regional Rookie of the Year award in program history after earning Wartburg's first A-R-C Rookie of the Year honor two weeks ago. She was also named Third Team All-Region.
This is the 11th-straight season Wartburg has had one or more All-Region selections from D3hoops.com.
The New Prague, Minn. native had a standout first season with the Knights as she led the team in scoring (17 points per game), three pointers made (61), three pointer percentage (47.3%) and free throw percentage (85%). Boulanger's three-point percentage currently ranks second among all Division III players this season, while her free throw percentage ranks second and her scoring average ranks third among the A-R-C. The first-year guard had eight 20-point performances this season, including a career high 29 points against Hardin-Simmons. Boulanger logged multiple made three pointers in 20/27 games this season and also added 5.0 rebounds per game (second on team).
