WAVERLY, Iowa – D3hoops.com released its annual individual season award winners and All-America teams on Saturday, Mar. 21 where Wartburg's
Katie Boulanger was named Division III's top first-year player as she earned the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year award.
This is the first time in program history a player has earned national Rookie of the Year honors from D3hoops.com.
Boulanger has now added three Rookie of the Year titles this season with the American Rivers Conference honor, D3hoops.com Region Nine honor and now the top national honor for a first-year player in Division III.
The first-year guard made an impact right away for the Knights, scoring 27 points with five made three pointers in her collegiate debut. Boulanger's three-point percentage ranks first among all Division III players this season (47.3%), while her free throw percentage ranks second and her scoring average ranks third among the A-R-C. The New Prague, Minn. native had a stellar first season with the Knights as she led the team in scoring (17 points per game), three pointers made (61), three pointer percentage (47.3%) and free throw percentage (85%). The first-year guard had eight 20-point performances this season, including a career high 29 points against Hardin-Simmons. Boulanger logged multiple made three pointers in 20/27 games this season and added 5.0 rebounds per game (second on team).
