Gotto '22 joins the Wartburg staff as the co-pitching coach ahead of the 2024 season after pitching five seasons for Wartburg and one season at Minnesota State University. Gotto also played professionally during this summer in the Pioneer League for Idaho Falls.
Gotto went 12-2 in 16 appearances on the mound last season at Minnesota State. At Wartburg, the Peosta, Iowa native is the all-time leader in strikeouts with 278 and is top 10 all-time in most strikeouts/9 inn game (3rd – 9.47), shutouts (T4th – Four), games started (T3rd -39) and innings pitched (5th - 264.1). Over five seasons Gotto made 41 appearances on the mound and finished with a record of 18-11 in decisions.
