Doug Frazell

Doug Frazell joined the Wartburg Volleyball coaching staff in April of 2010 and was named Associate Head Coach in February 2012 before being named the co-head coach in summer of 2013.

Prior to Wartburg, Coach Frazell was the head coach at West Des Moines Valley High School. During his seven years there, he led the Tigers to an average of 30 wins per season, three state tournament berths, and two Central Iowa Metropolitan League championships. Frazell also has had stops as both a graduate assistant coach at the University of Nebraska and as an assistant coach at Central College.

Frazell has helped guide the Knights to Conference Championships in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, and 2021. He was named Iowa Conference Co-Coach of the Year with Walker in 2013 and 2017, and the American Rivers Coach of the Year in 2021. Frazell was named AVCA Regional Coach of the Year in 2021.

Frazell also serves as the assistant director of Community Recreation at The W.
