Marissa Schweinfurth

    Assistant Volleyball Coach
Marissa Schweinfurth joined the Knights' coaching staff August of 2013. Schweinfurth has been with the Knights for six seasons and has guided the junior varsity Knights in one of the seasons to an undefeated season claiming both the conference title as well as the IIAC JV champs.

Schweinfurth graduated from Mediapolis High School and was a member and captain for her high school volleyball team that qualified for the State Tournament in 2005, where they set a school record for most wins in a single season. 

Schweinfurth attended the University of Northern Iowa to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Education and minor in Literacy and Coaching. Schweinfurth recently completed her Master’s degree in professional education through Morningside College
 
Schweinfurth came to Wartburg after being an  assistant coach at Cedar Falls in 2008, an assistant coach for Mediapolis High School in 2010, and assistant coach at Jesup High School in 2011.. In her season with the Bullettes, they set new records for most wins in a season as well as played two rounds in the State Tournament.

Schweinfurth is currently a 4th grade teacher in her seventh year in the Waterloo Community School District.
