Knights blank Hamline

Head coach Kirk Artist got a win in first attempt as the Knights’ head coach behind a 1-0 victory at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn.

Senior midfielder Lucas Prater (Springfield, Mo.), posted the game-winner on a cross from junior midfielder Nathan Gottsacker (Bloomington, Ill.)in the 77^th minute. The goal helped another first for Wartburg, as senior goalkeeper Brandon Busbee (Hiawatha) , in his first career start, pitched a shutout. He had two saves.

More notes – The Orange and Black out-shot their hosts 12-8. … The Knights’ Minnesota road trip continues with a 12 p.m. start at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., Saturday, Sept. 4.
