Wartburg Falls to St. Olaf, Shatzer Sets New Career-Best

WAVERLY, Iowa—Sophomore Cade Shatzer (Hudson) made a career-best 12 saves Wednesday night in Wartburg’s (3-3-0 overall) 4-0 loss to non-conference opponent, St. Olaf (7-1-0).

The game remained scoreless through the first half.

Mohamed Jahi connected on a pass from Nick Lund five minutes into the second session to give the Oles the 1-0 lead.

Lund would feed a pass to Blake Dressen 42 seconds later to give St. Olaf the 2-0 lead.

Dressen netted his second goal of the night at 65:21 and Ryan Johnsrud capitalized on a pass from Jake Strark at 83:46 for the final goal.

Sophomore Jared Nelson (Johnston) led the Knights with three shots on goal in the game.

The Orange and Black return to the field Saturday when they travel to face Central in their Iowa Conference opener at 3 p.m.
