WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg men’s soccer team (3-3-0 overall) travels to face Central (5-3-0) in the Iowa Conference opener Saturday in Pella, Iowa.

Central:
Jordan Appenzeller leads the team with his nine points (four goals, one assist) and Jonathan Schroeder has seven points (three goals, one assist). Tim Maggard has a .704 save percentage in his 405 minutes  in the net.

Wartburg:
Junior Austin Otto (Coralville) leads the squad with his five points (two goals, one assist) while classmate Brandon Cook (Bondurant) follows closely behind with four points (two goals). Sophomore Cade Shatzer (Hudson) has a .820 save percentage in his 540 minutes of work.
