Knights Travel to Face Kohawks

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men’s basketball team (7-6 overall, 1-3 IIAC) travels to Cedar Rapids to face Iowa Conference opponent, Coe (8-5, 2-2) Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Series:
The Knights have traded wins with the Kohawks in the last four meetings.

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:

Senior Jordan Sathoff (Packwood) leads the team with his 19.7 PPG and 7.7 rebounds per game.
He has now moved into the No. 12 spot on Wartburg's list of all-time scoring leaders with his 1,294 points to date.

Coe:
The Kohawks enter Saturday’s game on a five-game winning streak and are paced by 15.4 PPG from David Mataloni. Andrew Wirth and Seth Light round out the leading scorers with 13.5 and 10.8 PPG, respectively.

Light leads the team on the glass with his 7.3 rebounds per game.

Against IIAC Opponents:
Wartburg ranks in the top four in two categories: second in field goal percentage (.461), third in blocked shots (3.25).

Sathoff leads the conference in scoring 22.3 PPG and sophomore Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) is 29th (8.0 PPG).

Sathoff is also the league’s leading rebounder (9.0 rebounds per game) with Diemer in 13th (5.3).

Sathoff is fifth in field goal percentage (.545).

Sophomore Mitchell Murphy (Cresco) is fifth in assists with 3.75/game.

In free throw percentage, Sathoff is eighth (.846) and classmate Kirk Sidey (Greenfield) is second in steals.

Diemer and Sathoff are both tied for fourth in blocked shots and Sathoff is eighth in three-point field goals made.
