WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's soccer team used a two-goal second half to defeat Iowa Conference opponent, Coe, 4-2, Saturday night.
Senior Brandon Cook (Bondurant) finished with two goals in the game as he put the Knights on the board just four minutes into the game. Freshman Zubeen Azari (Spirit Lake) had the assist.
Classmate Bob Brown (Cedar Rapids) scored his first goal of the year in the 18th minute on a header.
Coe's Jake Johnson scored on a free kick at 22:10 and Chris Fitch evened the score at 29:30.
Sophomore Dan Nadeau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) headed freshman Kevin Krueger's (Prior Lake, Minn.) pass into the back of the net at 74:30 and Cook completed his scoring with his goal at 75:50.
The Orange and Black return to the field Tuesday against Buena Vista at 7:30 p.m.
