WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's soccer team (5-5-2 overall, 2-1-1 IIAC) shutout Iowa Conference opponent, Buena Vista (5-7-1, 0-4-0) 5-0 Tuesday night.

Freshman Zubeen Azari (Spirit Lake) extended his points streak to six-straight games with his goal just 3:36 into the game. Sophomore Brady Anderson (Cedar Rapids) was credited with the assist.

Senior Brandon Cook (Bondurant) netted his team-high sixth goal of the year at 15:35 on a pass from sophomore Zach Smith (Cedar Rapids).

Classmate Dan Nadeau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) extended the team's margin to 3-0 as he scored on a pass from senior Kendall Stelk (Bettendorf) at 35:29.

Anderson netted his first goal of the year at 55:08 as Smith had his second assist of the night.

Sophomore Kyle Sprain (Waverly) scored at 61:49 to seal the win.

The Orange and Black return to the field tomorrow against No. 13 UW-Whitewater at 7 p.m.
