Knights Wrangle Regents, 84-50

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (1-1 overall) defeated Rockford 84-50 Saturday in its annual Buzz Levick tournament.

Junior Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) led the charge with his 20 points and also added seven rebounds. For his efforts over the two games, he was named to the All-Tournament team.

Senior Drew Crawford (Marion) recorded a career-best 19 points as he made a career-high four three-pointers.

Sophomore Clay Cook (West Branch) joined them in double digits and also had a career-best 12 points. He narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

Senior Trevor Dismore (Vinton) tied his career mark with nine points.

The Knights took the 33-16 lead at halftime which it never relinquished.

As a team, the Orange and Black held the advantages in field goal percentage (.567-.333), three-point field goal percentage (.588-.238), free throw percentage (.857-.700), rebounds (42-26), assists (22-8) and blocks (3-0).

Wartburg returns to action next weekend at UW-Platteville's tournament.
