WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg football team (1-1 overall) travels to Kenosha, Wis. to face Carthage College (1-0) Saturday at 1 p.m. This marks the first road game of the season for the Knights.

The Series:
The two programs have not met in this century, but previously met in 1946 and 1947. Wartburg won the first game 32-7 and Carthage took the second game 20-6.
A Look at the Teams:
Carthage:
The Red Men won their season opener Sept. 1 against Adrian College, 20-17 before having their bye week last week.
Brett Bukari won the game for Carthage with his 22-yard field goal with 0:17 left to play. He also made a 37-yards kick to put the Red Men up by ten points in the second quarter.
Carthage was ahead 14-7 at halftime before Adrian scored ten points in the second half to tie the score at 17-17 in the fourth quarter.
Reggie Miller is the team’s leading rusher with his 47 yards on 13 carries.
A.J. Simoncelli is the leading passer with 211 yards and T.J. Trepanier leads the receivers group with eight catches for 88 yards.
Last year, Carthage finished 5-5.
Wartburg:
The Knights’ ground attack is led by senior Connor Dahlstrom (Eldridge) with his 99 yards on 16 carries.
Freshman Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) is the team’s leading passer with his 283 yards and two touchdown passes.
Senior Curt Hruska (New Hampton) is the squad’s leading receiver with 101 yards on seven catches. Sophomore Donald
Miller (Maywood, Ill.) is close behind with his eight catches for 84 yards.
Junior Ryan Billings (Sterling, Ill.) leads the defense with 13.5 tackles, including 5.0 tackles for a loss of 17 yards.
Sophomore Drew Kooi (Minooka, Ill.) is the next leading tackler with 8.5 tackles which includes 3.0 TFL for 21 yards. He has a team-best two sacks for a loss of 19 yards.

Individually, freshman Frank Lancoti (Lombard, Ill.) is tied for 74th in field goals (0.50) and sophomore Spencer Capitani (Northwood) is tied for 87th in punt returns (4.67).
