DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team fell 77-64 to Dubuque Thursday night.

Senior Mitchell Murphy (Cresco) led the team with 20 points, just five shy of his career mark. Eleven of his points came from the charity stripe.

Dan Van Gronigen led the team with five rebounds.

The Spartans took the 36-33 lead at halftime but the Knights regained the lead at 52-51 with 11:45 to go in the second frame.

The Orange and Black built their lead to seven with 8:42 to play until Dubuque knotted the game 60 all with 5:15 remaining.

The Spartans took the lead for good at 62-60 with 5:27 remaining.

The Knights return to the court Saturday when they face Central on the road at 4 p.m.
