A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:

The Knights enter Saturday's game on a four-game winning streak.

Last week, the Orange and Black beat Luther 24-21.

Junior Donald Miller (Maywood, Ill.) put Wartburg on the board with his 12-yard touchdown catch from sophomore Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) on the team's first drive of the game.

The Norse attempted to respond on their next drive, but missed a 27-yard field goal attempt.

Luther evened the score on an 18-yard touchdown pass with 4:29 to play in the first half.

Wartburg took the three-point lead (10-7) into halftime as sophomore Michael Bohlke (Manchester) made a 28-yard field goal with 0:15 to play in the frame.

This remained the score through the third quarter until the Norse took the 14-10 lead on a 23-yard run by Tim Ostby with 12:02 to play.

The Knights answered with a three-play, 91-yard drive to take the 17-14 lead with 11:37 to play. They set a new school record as senior Taylor Jacobsmeier (Wapello) threw a 91-yard pass to classmate Brandon Steggall (Waverly). The old mark stood at 85-yards set by Schrader and DJ Looft against Central last season.

Luther did not back down as it rallied with a four-play, 70-yard drive to go ahead 21-17 with 10:24 left.

Sophomore Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) scored the game-winning touchdown as he caught a 17-yard pass from Jacobsmeier to cap a nine-play, 61-yard drive with 5:53 remaining.

The Orange and Black's defense did not allow a first down on the Norse's ensuing drive as they went three and out to give the ball back to Wartburg with 4:31 left to play.

Domeyer recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game as he finished with 150 on the ground. He also led all receivers with 33 yards on four catches.

Jacobsmeier tallied his third straight games with over 100-yards through the air as he had 115 passing yards.

Sophomore Will Jansen (Mediapolis) led the defense with 12.5 tackles, including 10 solo tackles. Senior Martin Hyatte (Rockford, Ill.) had a team-best 3.0 tackles for a loss of 14 yards.
