WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's soccer team (15-3-2 overall) advanced to the Iowa Conference tournament championship game with its 1-0 double overtime win against Luther (14-6-0) Wednesday.

The game was scoreless through regulation as the Knights held the advantage in shots, 12-8.

Both teams had a shot in the first overtime session, but neither team scored to send the game to a second extra session.

With 5:54 left in the frame, the Orange and Black were awarded a penalty kick.

Senior Bob Brown (Solon) made his fourth successful PK attempt to award the win to Wartburg.

The Knights will now face top-seeded Loras in the IIAC Tournament Championship game in Dubuque on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
