ST. PETER, Minn..-- Freshman Paris Martins (Coralville) set a new career-best with his two goals against Gutavus to give Wartburg the 2-1 win Tuesday.

The Knights are now 5-2-2 overall and the Gusties now stand at 5-2-1.

The game was scoreless through halftime as Gustavus held the 6-4 advantage in shots in the frame.

Patrick Roth put Gustavus on the board with his goal at 53:32.

Martins scored his first goal of the day less than three minutes later and scored the game-winner at 71:03.

The Orange and Black return to action Saturday when they travel to Cedar Rapids to face Coe to open Iowa Conference play.
