WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's soccer team (7-2-2 overall) shutout nonconference opponent Hamline (3-5-0) 3-0 Sunday.

Junior Zach Smith put the Knights on the board with his goal at 8:23 on a pass from freshman Paris Martins (Coralville). He put his shot into the lower left corner in the back of the net.

Senior Bob Brown (Solon) scored his third goal of the year as he made his penalty kick attempt at 32:10.

The Orange and Black remained leading 2-0 at halftime.

Freshman Michel Levine (Bloomington, Minn.) scored his first collegiate goal at 83:34. Junior Jake Reiter (Buckingham) had the assist.

Senior Cade Shatzer (Hudson) earned his first shutout win of the year.

Wartburg returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Buena Vista for an Iowa Conference match at 7:30 p.m.
