WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 22 Wartburg men's soccer team (12-3-4 overall) advanced to the Iowa Conference tournament championship game with its 1-0 win over No. 12 Luther (16-3-1) Wednesday.

The game was scoreless through the first half. Junior Zubeen Azari (Spirit Lake) scored the game-winner at 57:23 as he put his shot over the jumping goalkeeper at the top of the net. Senior Dan Nadeau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) had the assist.

The Knights held the advantage in shots, 14-8.

The Orange and Black will face Loras in Dubuque at 7 p.m. Saturday. The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
