Knights Open Second Half of Conference Schedule at Simpson

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (10-8 overall, 3-4 IIAC) travels to face Simpson (6-12, 1-6) to open the second half of its Iowa Conference schedule Saturday at 4 p.m. The Knights won the first meeting this year, 74-57, as head coach Dick Peth earned his 500th career victory.

The Series
Wartburg holds a commanding series lead at 70-29.

A Look at the Teams

Three Knights average double digits and are led by 15.2 PPG from sophomore Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, Ill.). Senior Clay Cook (West Branch) has 12.7 and sophomore Nick Webber (Peosta) has 11.2. Cannon is the league's fifth-leading scorer (15.7 PPG) and Cook is 16th (10.7) and Webber is 17th (10.6).

Cook is the team's leading rebounder with his average of 8.9 rebounds per game. Webber has a team-high 46 assists to date.
