No. 22 Wartburg Travels to Face Luther

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 22 Wartburg football team (5-1 overall, 2-1 IIAC) travels to face Luther (3-3, 1-2) Saturday at 1 p.m.

Wartburg leads the all-time series 37-22. The Knights have won the last nine meetings.

Career Record Watch
Senior Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) is second in career pass completions (577). He became the program's all-time leader in touchdown passes last Saturday and the leader in passing yards two weeks ago.

Senior Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) has moved into sixth on the all-time rushing leaders list with 2,996 yards and is second with 44 rushing touchdowns. His 45 career touchdowns is tied for third in program history.

Senior Logan Pitz (Farley) moved into second in pass breakups with 32. He needs four more to set a new school record and three to tie the record.

Classmate Michael Bohlke (Manchester) moved into second in extra points made (123) and continues to extend his margin as the career leader in field goals made (24). Senior Grant Zimmerman (Mendota, Ill.) is fourth with 6,399 punt yards.

Wartburg
Domeyer leads the team on the ground with 513 yards and 10 touchdowns. Junior Jake Haberman (Clarion) and Schrader join him in triple digit yardage with 287 and 145, respectively.

Schrader has thrown for 1,469 yards and seven TDs. His top receiver has been classmate Robbie Anstoetter (Farley) who has 39 catches for 654 yards and three TDs. Senior Mitch Rahm (Wesley) has 260 yards and sophomore Riley Brockway (Postville) has 208.

Senior Will Janssen (Mediapolis) leads the defense with 59 total tackles and classmate Gunner Tranel (Vinton) follows closely behind with 57.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of 24 statistical categories, which the NCAA released Tuesday. The Knights rank second in fewest penalty yards (160), second in fewest penalty yards per game (26.67), seventh in fewest penalties per game (3.67), eighth in fewest penalties (22), 11th in fumbles lost (2), 28th in winning percentage (.833), 29th in blocked punts (1), 36th in net punting (35.30), 43rd in completion percentage (.626), 56th in turnover margin (.67) and 58th in 4th down conversion percentage (.563). The Orange and Black also rank 62nd in 4th down conversion percentage defense (.375), 63rd in first downs offense (130), 63rd in time of possession (31:44), 63rd in turnovers lost (9), 64th in passes intercepted (8), 65th in blocked kicks (2), 68th in passing offense (246.5), 74th in turnovers gained (13), 84th in punt return defense (6.00), 90th in total offense (409.3), 91st in team passing efficiency (133.87), 99th in 3rd down conversion percentage (.388) and 99th in scoring defense (24.3).

Individually, eight Knights rank in the top 100 of 20 statistical categories.

Domeyer ranks 14th in rushing touchdowns (10), 29th in scoring (10.0), 88th in rushing yards (513) and 92nd in rushing yards per game (85.5). Zimmerman ranks 17th in punting (40.6).

Anstoetter ranks 21st in receiving yards per game (109.0), 23rd in receiving yards (654), and 43rd in receptions per game (6.5).

Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) ranks 43rd in passing yards (1,469), 45th in passing yards per game (244.8),  48th in completion percentage (.627), 48th in total offense (269.0), 50th in completions per game (19.33), 52nd in yards per pass attempt (7.94), 78th in passing efficiency (134.3), 90th in passing yards per completion (12.66) and 93rd in points responsible for (72).

Pitz ranks 45th in interceptions per game (.5) and 72nd in passes defended (1.3). Classmate James Garlock (Johnston) also ranks 45th in interceptions per game (.5). Janssen ranks 63rd in total tackles (9.8) and Tranel ranks 78th in the same category (9.5)

Luther
Christian Moore has 92 carries for 743 yards and nine touchdowns. Cooper Nelson has 325 yards on 34 carries and three TDs while Brady Letney has 243 yards on 79 carries for six touchdowns.

The signalcaller, Letney, is 14-32-2 for 184 yards and no touchdowns. Jon Cochrane leads the receivers with nine receptions for 162 yards

Aric Elton leads the defense with 55 total tackles.
