Box ScoreDUBUQUE, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team was defeated 81-73 by the University of Dubuque in the Iowa Conference Tournament Championship Game Saturday night.
Three Knights finished in double-digits and were led by 22 from sophomore Jordan Cannon (Bollingbrook, Ill.). Classmate Nick Webber (Peosta) and freshman Nate Weoste (Atkins) each had 12 points.
The Spartans led 44-41 at halftime and the Orange and Black battled to within four points (72-68) with 1:41 to play. Wartburg fouled down the stretch to get the ball back to try to score again.
With the win, Dubuque earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
