WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Wartburg men's soccer team (8-3-1 overall, 2-1 IIAC) stunned No. 9 Luther College (8-2-2, 2-1) in Wednesday's 1-0 overtime victory.
Breaking up a 0-0 regulation contest, junior Jakub Rys (Huntley, Ill.) scored an unassisted goal in overtime to propel the Knights over the ranked Norse. It was Rys' second goal of 2016.

This win marked the second upset win over Luther in program history. The previous upset was a 2-1 victory over then-No. 7 ranked Luther on Oct. 1, 2014.
