WAVERLY, Iowa -- The No. 23 Wartburg men's basketball team (8-1 overall) will compete in the Cruzin Classic from Dec. 19-20, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Knights will play SUNY Poly at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and face North Central College at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Game are listed in Eastern time.

Wartburg
The Knights enter the tournament after a 103-90 upset over No. 10 UW-Eau Claire at home on Sunday, landing Wartburg a No. 23 ranking in the d3hoops.com Top 25 poll.
Senior Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, Ill.), voted the latest IIAC Male Athlete of the Week, averages a 17.3 points per game. Sophomore Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) follows with 16.0 and junior Nate Woeste (Atkins) averages 15.9 points. Sophomore Cam Kickbush (Reinbeck) has a team-high 15 three-pointers.
Seniors Nick Webber (Peosta) and Lenart Kalan (Skofja Loka, Slovenia) have both recorded 25 assists. Junior Clifton Brown (Mims, Fla.) is the top-rebounded, with an average of 5.4 grabs.
SUNY Poly
SUNY Poly is located in Utica, NY. This is the first meeting between the Knights and the Wildcats. They have a 4-3 record on the year. Four of the Cardinals average double-digits in points per game. Quayshaun Mitchell averages 9.6 rebounds.
North Central
North Central is located in Naperville, Ill. The Cardinals have a 1-0 all-time record over Wartburg dating back to their competition during the 1990-91 season. The team has a 5-2 record and average 72.9 points per game. Alex Sorenson has 11 blocks for the Cardinals.
