No. 19 Knights Travel to Face Waldorf

WAVERLY, Iowa – The No. 19 Wartburg men's basketball team (9-2 overall) travels to Forest City to compete against Waldorf (5-10) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg has a 2-1 all-time series advantage. When the teams met last season, Waldorf came out on top, 69-60.

Wartburg
The Knights enter the road game after they went 1-1 at the Cruzin Classic in Fort Lauderdale. They were victorious over SUNY Poly 70-56 in the first game, but were handed their second loss of the season by No. 20 North Central College in double overtime, 94-91.

Senior Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, Ill.), junior Nate Woeste (Atkins), sophomore Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) and junior Saywer Herman (Moticello) have all held the title of game-high scorer for the Knights this season. Senior Clifton Brown (Mims, Fla.) averages 5.4 rebounds. Woeste and Nick Webber (Peosta) have each tallied 11 steals.

Waldorf
The Warriors compete against Saint Ambrose on Friday before hosting the Knights Saturday. Waldorf's offense is led by June Prowell, averaging 19.2 points per game. Three other players average double digits in points per game including Michael Morgan (12.7), Kaden Verdin (10.8) and Leland March (10.6). Morgan and Verdin both lead the team in rebounds with 8.1 grabs per contest.
