WARTBURG vs. BUENA VISTA SEMIFINALS IIAC TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS

The Knights took a commanding 52-31 lead at halftime and led by as many as 28 points in the second half. The Orange and Black held the team advantages in every shooting percentage category and outrebounded BV, 41-36. Wartburg defeated Buena Vista all three meetings this season for the first time in school history. The Knights earned two wins over BV in previous years, but the conference tournament did not yet exist at those times.

This will mark the ninth overall and second straight appearance in program history in the Conference tournament Championship game for Wartburg.

The Knights will host the No. 5 seed, Central, Saturday at 7 p.m. The winner of that game receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. This will also mark the first meeting between the Dutch and the Orange and Black in the conference tournament championship. The last time these two teams met in the conference tournament was the quarterfinals of the 2004 bracket where Wartburg won 75-62.

Wartburg holds the all-time series lead at 64-43 series and the teams split the games in the regular season as each won on its home court.
