Wartburg Faces Dubuque

WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Wartburg men's basketball team (10-3 overall, 2-2 IIAC) will play University of Dubuque (5-7, 2-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series record 65-38. Last season, the Knights split with the Spartans, winning at home 67-56, but falling on the road 74-65.

The Knights look to bring their IIAC record to above .500 against Dubuque. Senior Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, Ill.) averages 17.5 points per game, the most of any Knight. Sophomore Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) is second with 14.6. Junior Nate Woeste (Atkins) and senior Nick Webber (Peosta) are the other two players that average double digits with 12.8 and 10.2 points.

Webber leads the team in assists with 35 recorded this season. Senior Clifton Brown (Mims, Fla.) has a team-high seven blocks.

Dubuque
The Spartans bring a five-game winning streak into Saturday's game, but are just 1-4 on the road. The team has a 79.2 points average against Iowa Conference opponents this season. TJ Lake is the top-scorer for Dubuque, averaging 19.7 points against IIAC teams. Jake Webber averages 12.8 rebounds in each IIAC competition.
