LINCOLN, Neb.-- The No. 23 Wartburg men's soccer team (7-2-3 overall, 2-1-1 IIAC) narrowly fell 2-1 to Nebraska Wesleyan (7-5-1, 2-2-0) Saturday. With the win, the Prairie Wolves took the lead in the all-time series at 3-2-0.
Just over a minute into the game, NWU took the early lead. The Knights evened the score two minutes later as junior Ayo Adebayo (Rochester, Minn.) netted his fourth goal of the season.
The score remained tied through halftime. The Prairie Wolves scored the game-winning goal at 48:19.
The Orange and Black held the team advantages in shots (13-9) and corner kicks (7-1).
