EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- The Wartburg women's soccer team (4-1-0) defeated UW-Eau Claire (0-4-1), 2-1 Thursday.
Scoring for the Orange and Black was seniors Alyssa Christopher (Reinbeck) and Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield). Christopher got the Knights on the board in late in the first half at 40:18. Neuendorf's goal was scored early in the second half at 54:10, giving the Knights their first lead in the game. Both goals were unassisted.
In goal, senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) tallied 11 saves.
The Knight's next game will be on the road at Wheaton College on Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m.
