LA CROSSE, Wis.-Wartburg's women's soccer team (5-2-0 overall) was defeated by UW-La Crosse (5-0-2), 2-0 Wednesday.
The Orange and Black's offense was led by seniors Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) and Sarah Schwarz (Eldridge) with a combined two shots on goal.
Goalkeeper sophomore Hayley Krogh (Hudson) tallied nine saves in her first start of the season.
Wartburg held the advantage in saves (9-2).
The Knights return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 to start Iowa Conference competition against Coe at 1 p.m. in Waverly.
