WAVERLY, Iowa-Wartburg's women's soccer team (6-2-1 overall, 0-0-1 IIAC) shut out St. Olaf (5-4-0, 3-0-0 MIAC), 3-0 Sunday.
Junior Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) got the Knights' first goal of the game, scoring with her own corner kick at 20:00. Adair's goal was unassisted and gave her a team-best four goals on the season.
Netting Wartburg's next two goals was senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield). Neuendorf's first goal was scored on a penalty kick at 30:29. On an open shot to the goal, Neuendorf scored an unassisted goal up the middle of the net.
Goalkeeper senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) recorded her 32nd career shutout, along with eight saves.
The Orange and Black held the advantages in shots (16-8) and saves (8-4). The Knights and Oles tied in corner kicks (6).
Wartburg will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. against St. Thomas in Waverly.
