Knights Welcome Spartans

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The Wartburg men's basketball team (12-6 overall, 5-4 IIAC) hosts Dubuque (11-8, 3-7) Saturday at 4 p.m. The Knights are tied for fourth and the Spartans are tied for seventh on the conference standings.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 86-45 which includes the last four meetings. The Knights won 77-51, in the first meeting this season on Dec. 6, 2017.

Wartburg
Three Knights average in double digits as junior Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) leads the team at 15.1 PPG. Seniors Sawyer Herman (Monticello) and Nate Woeste (Atkins) follow at 11.8 and 11.7, respectively.

Sabus also has a team-high 5.8 rebounds/game. He is the conference's seventh-leading scorer at 16.6 PPG, and the leader in three-point field goal percentage (.640).

Woeste is tied for 24th with his 1,118 points, 10th with 119 three-point field goals, seventh with 110 steals, and fourth with 339 free throws.

Dubuque
TJ Lake is the team's leading scorer at 24.7 PPG and Jamaree Atwater joins him in double digits with 18.2. Atwater leads the team on the glass with 6.5 rebounds/game.

Lake is the IIAC scoring leader at 24.9 PPG and Atwater is sixth at 17.7.
