DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Wartburg Knights men's soccer team traveled to Dubuque on Thursday night and left victorious as they took down the University of Dubuque Spartans 2-1 in American Rivers Conference play.
The Knights (6-5 overall, 2-1 ARC) scored the first goal of the game just into the match's 19

The second half would get underway and would welcome in another Knights goal, this time by junior
Riley Close (Polk City) coming off of an assist from
Nick Schwake (Bettendorf). The Knights would hold the Spartans scoreless up until the match's 87
th minute, when Alessandro Corazzina scored on a Gloire Luwara pass. Senior goalkeeper
Paul Koebke Barsic (Madison, Wis.) would lock up the goal for the rest of the way as the Knights managed to come out of the contest with a 2-1 victory.
The Knights will return to action this Saturday, Oct. 6, to face Nebraska Wesleyan University at 2:30 p.m. on senior night.
