WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's soccer team (8-4-1 overall, 2-1-1 A-R-C) defeated Nebraska Wesleyan (6-6, 0-4) in shutout fashion Saturday, 1-0.
The game was scoreless through the first half. At 65:40, senior Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) found classmate Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) who was by herself to put it into the left side of the back of the net.
The Knights defense allowed only three shots on goal in the second half to seal the shutout, their fourth of the season.
The Orange and Black owned the team advantages in shots (40-10) and corner kicks (8-0).
Wartburg takes to the road for its next game on Tuesday at Buena Vista at 5 p.m.
